Mr Robot creator Sam Esmail's apocalyptic thriller Leave the World Behind kicks off with a slow zoom-in on Julia Roberts, as she sneers the words, "I f***ing hate people". America's Thor: The Dark World - review. With Tom Hiddleston overshadowed by an apocalyptically dull new villain, Thor's return is punctuated by thunderous boredom. "Thor: The Dark World," a watchable but technologically over-scaled slab of Marvel boilerplate, is far from a great superhero movie — it's more like the diagram for one.
Thor: The Dark World hits all the beats you'd want out of a Thor movie and then leaves before tedium can set in. Hemsworth doesn't have as many comedic opportunities as last time, but still
